The snowy slopes of the Dachstein Glacier are just the backdropfor three days of the gnarliest snowboarding in Western Europe.
Daredevil competitors will be judged on their tricks, style and risk – and with £12,500 winnings at stake, you can be sure the cream of the international snowboarding crop will be pulling out all the stops to impress.
Why: The Jam celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and the contest will pit 60 qualifying men and 20 women against 22 invited professionals, so it’s bound to get intense. Don’t miss the legendary dubstep and hip-hop parties, which are held throughout the event.
Do it because: You might not know a ‘Frontside Rodeo’ from a ‘Japan Grab’, but watching someone contort themselves into unbelievable positions while riding a plank of wood has got to be up there with the best spectator sports.
