Adam Hills, who is touring his Happyism show, which is out on DVD now, took to the stage and midway through his set announced to the audience that after the show he would be taking them all bowling.

Many thought this was just part of the show, another joke, but after a little explaining they grew to believe that the 43-year-old Sydneysider was serious.

So after he finished he show at the Queen’s Theatre Adam and around 300 audience members moved on to the Let’s Go bowling alley in nearby Pottington.

“By this point I had done 70 shows and wanted to do something different,” Hills told the North Devon Journal.

“I have always loved the idea of doing something for the audience.”

The bowling was free – the only thing Hills asked was that they make a contribution to his Movember efforts.
