Amy Winehouse’s parents visited their daughter’s home and scene of her death this morning to lay flowers in her memory.
Mitch and Janis Winehouse were met with tributes from fans left at
Amy’s former home in Camden Square, North London, over the weekend.
Taxi driver, Mitch said: “I can’t tell you how much this means to
us. Thank you for coming. This means so much to my family. We are
devastated.
“Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece.”
Mitch, his second wife Jane and Amy’s mother Janis identified the star’s body earlier this morning.

Medics said Amy, 27 had been dead for several hours before her body
was discovered in her bed. She last spoke to her security team at 10am
on Saturday and was found at home at 4pm.
Amy had been visiting a doctor regularly for her drink and drug
abuse. She visited her doctor on Friday night – less than 24 hours
before she was found dead by her security guard, Andrew Morris.
A source told The Sun: “The doctor was happy with her condition.
When he left on Friday night he had no concerns. Less than 24 hours
later she was found dead.
“Amy’s health has been very fragile and she has been having a series of check ups.”
A post mortem will take place later today to find out exactly how
the singer died. Police have confirmed that there were no signs of
drugs in her house.
