The Year Seven students at a New South Wales school complained to their parents, claiming the 49-year-old goaded them during a science class.
The alleged victims’ family reported the incident to police in February, after the kids suffered blisters over their hands.
They claim the teacher turned their science lesson into an experiment, seeing who could hold the dry ice the longest.
The teacher, from a school in Terrigal, has now been charged with occasioning grievous bodily harm through negligence and assaulting a school student.
He will appear in Gosford Local Court on June 19.
