2-3 days
Day 1
If it’s winter you’ll be hitting the slopes as soon as possible. Advanced skiers with a penchant for steep and long runs should head to the Hauts Forts area, where runs take you all the way back to the valley floor.
While beginners can try out the area serviced by the TS Seraussaix lift.
The runs are wide and not as steep, so you’ll have plenty of time to work on your moves on the way down.
Once you’re tired out from the slopes, grab a massage at the local beauty salon in Avoriaz to sooth those aching muscles.
Day 2
Spend the morning exploring the slopes surrounding Avoriaz before taking in lunch at the wooden hut cafes that are built right alongside the runs.
In the evening take the cable car down to Morzine, where you can go night sledding on the Morzine slopes.
Day 3
Make the most of the location, and strap on your skis for a spot of skiing or boarding. If you want to improve your skills while you’re in town, there are plenty of skiing instructors on hand.
The Avoriaz Alpine Ski School has instructors that take classes in English.
