Brick Lane Curry Festival
WHAT: Renowned for its array of delicious, and pretty cheap, curries, Brick Lane goes all out during its annual curry festival, with the restaurants putting on special menus and spilling out on to the street to entice passers-by.
WHEN: Until May 14.
DO IT BECAUSE: It’s bloody tasty and it’s a great excuse to spend an afternoon rattling around in east London, drinking too much. Obviously, it’s all about the curry, but there’s also a host of performances and the usual street market attractions. Bring your appetite. It promises to be epic.
