The incident sparked a warning from Inspector Sean Cryer advising people to avoid the dangerous, but common practice in the roaring heat.
Not a month goes by without a bridge-jumping incident being reported on the bridge.
“I think you’ll find there’s probably been people jumping off that bridge ever since they built it,” said Cryer.
“It’s just a sad thing that people do sometimes and sometimes they live and sometimes they die.”
Cryer said that the four men decided to jump off the bridge while drinking at a nearby backpackers.
