The 31-year-old Geordie lovely romped home in a poll by Victoria Milan, a dating website for attached people seeking naughty but discreet extra-marital liaisons.

They asked 4,340 of their philandering male members which British TV star they’d like to cheat with most – and luscious Cheryl left the rest trailing as she romped home with 41 per cent of the vote. Holly Willoughby finished a distant second with 21 per cent, followed by leggy lingerie model Abbey Clancy with 16 per cent. Kelly Brook managed 13 per cent and Fearne Cotton weighed in with a meagre nine per cent.

Victoria Milan founder Sigurd Vedal reckons the results prove that men love strong, beautiful and successful women. We can’t say it had ever occurred to us.

“TV stars are unattainable, and also have that X factor about them. Nearly 40 per cent of our male members would love to have an illicit entanglement with a top TV personality because they are turned on by the blend of fame, money and – of course – amazing looks,” said Vedal.

Among those surveyed, 72 per cent said they found TV presenters attractive, but 28 per cent said they weren’t turned on by the TV stunners.

Around 41 per cent of those polled said they thought TV presenters were hot; fame was the major attraction for 13 per cent, and eight per cent were turned on by their wealth. A well-rounded 38 per cent were attracted by a little bit of everything. And why not?
