Police are investigating the death of a British woman who had a buttocks enlargement injection in a US hotel.
The 20-year-old woman had travelled to Philadelphia with three companions.
They were staying at the Hampton Inn Hotel and this is where the cosmetic injection was administered.
The woman, who had the injection on Monday, complained of chest pains and struggled to breath afterwards.
The woman, who has not yet been named, was rushed to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital where she died.
The procedure was booked over the internet and police are now on the hunt for the two people who administered the injections.
Lieutenant John Walker of the Philadelphia police south-west detectives division, said: “We’re not quite sure right now if that person performing that procedure is licensed or unlicensed,
“We’re still working that information right now.”
