Houses were searched and arrests made for a second consecutive day as part of Operation Vouch, a joint Tasmanian and Australian Federal Police investigation also involving the Australian Crime Commission.

A one-metre long crocodile was found in a tank at a property at Brighton, 25km north of Hobart.

Cannabis plants and a crossbow were also seized and two arrests made during raids by 50 officers on six properties on Thursday.

The raids followed an early morning blitz on 10 properties across the state on Wednesday, resulting in nine arrests.
Police will allege traffickers sold drugs worth more than $300,000 over the past eight months.

The AFP has restrained 10 properties and 13 vehicles worth a combined $2.75 million under proceeds of crime legislation.
“Operation Vouch has resulted in the disruption of a significant drug distribution network,” Detective Inspector Glenn Lathey said in a statement. The investigation was ongoing, he said.
