In the wake of the tragic earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, Kiwis in London have pulled together to organise a huge array of benefits and fundraisers.

Christchurch Earthquake Fundraiser at Earls Ferrers Pub, Streatham
The event will feature a Card Magic Workshop in the afternoon and DJ’s will be playing music all day and night. Hot food will be available all day for a small donation to the appeal. A ‘Meat Raffle’ will also be held.
Labour MP for Streatham Chuka Umunna (dubbed Britain’s answer to Obama) has confirmed his attendance.

Christchurch Earthquake London Fundraiser
The Castle Bar, proudly owned by Kiwis, is holding a fundraising event for the Christchurch disaster. The £15 entry fee includes a complimentary Steinlager Pure and a ticket for the Door Prize raffle. Thanks to an overwhelming response, the Goldhawk Tavern has been added as an additional venue.

Special screening of ‘The Insatiable Moon’
Kiwi filmmakers will have a special screening of their indie film “The Insatiable Moon” to support the Christchurch relief fund. The film deals with finding hope after personal tragedy, a heady parallel to the Christchurch disaster.

Pacific Barbarians vs. Australian XV Charity Day
In honor of the South Hemisphere Charity Day, an all-day rugby tournament will take place at Old Deer Park. The highlight match is between the Pacific Barbarians and Australian XV at 3pm but stick around for the beer tent, live music, and Aussie rules matches. Rugby stars George Smith and Jerry Collins are just a couple of big names that will be featured in the match.
