O’Brien spoke openly when he returned to training following a falling out with coach Nathan Buckley, in which he talked about a history of suicide, depression, sexual abuse and witnessing a murder that he can’t speak about for fears of his own life.
“I’m going through quite a tough time at the moment,” O’Brien said.
Buckley has taken him out of the leadership group for the rest of the season so that O’Brien can focus on personal issues.
