A Conservative source, reports The Times, is claimed to have trashed Ed Miliband with an expletive laden outburst:
“No 10 and the Foreign Office think Miliband is a fucking cunt and a copper bottomed shit. The French hate him now and he’s got no chance of building an alliance with the US Democratic party,” the Tory is reported to have said of the opposition leader.
Labour had changed their stance on military action in Syria and had effectively killed Prime Minister David Cameron’s plans for a Commons vote this evening on the issue which would have seen British military strikes in Syria within days.
Miliband has said that he wants six concessions in order for Labour to support military action, including a second vote after the UN weapons inspectors’ report.
“Ed Miliband is playing politics when he should be thinking about the national interest and global security,” the official Conservative Twitter feed said. Doesn’t sound like any of them are best pleased with Miliband’s actions.
