The most romantic day of the year, or the day when you get it in the ear for not surprising your other half in the way they wanted/ expected, or you just plain old didn’t have anyone to share it with – Valentine’s day can be something different for everyone.

Where: Wilton’s Music Hall, E1 8JB

Bounce – Feb 14
Forget Fifty Shades, Bounce’s paddles are not for the sexy kind of games – unless you are proper sneaky – but rather for ping-pong based debauchery. Its Anti-Valentine’s Day party is entering its third year and shaping up to be a stonker. Patrons are reminded though, to refrain from using pet names, sharing pudding, holding hands aand other nefarious couple-y behaviour. This is not the place. It is, though, the place for round the table table tennis madness, UV Ping pong (exactly how it sounds) and Cupid’s Day Off, a game in which mismatched guests will be chosen for doubles action.

When: Feb 14 / 7pm onwards
Where: Bounce, EC1N 2TD
Cost: £5
Tube: Farringdon
