The protesters – who intend to simulate a variety of sex acts while remaining fully clothed – will accompany their attempt to break the Guinness World Record for ‘facesitting’ with hearty renditions of the classic Monty Python song ‘Sit on my Face’.
The Westminster event has been organised by Charlotte Rose – sex worker of the year in 2013 – over new rules which will ban a wide variety of sexual activities from UK-made porn films.
Prohibited activities range from ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’-style bondage and spanking through to caning, whipping and more extreme activities. These include fisting, facesitting and strangulation, which have all been branded as potentially life-threatening by the censors. Female ejaculation, watersports, and penetration with large objects are also among the no-no’s.
Ms Rose – a former bondage model and dominatrix who now works as a sex therapist – told London 24 it was unfair that many acts associated with female pleasure seemed to have been singled out.
“These laws are not only sexist but they are taking away people’s choices without consent,” she said. “Personal liberty is what we are fighting for on Friday – which no one has the right to take away from somebody else.”
And the protesters are not without support in the corridors of power. Today’s event coincides with the debate of a motion put forward by Liberal Democrat MP Julian Huppert to annul the new restrictions.
The MP said in a statement: “It seems to me that there is a principle here about when things should be banned; I’d focus more on consent issues, and genuine risks of death or serious harm, than whether polite society likes them.”
