The video was posted by YouTube user ‘goobie55’ who turned to his security camera he had helpfully installed outside his house when he discovered that his newly-delivered computer monitor was broken in several places.
The security camera footage appeared to show a FedEx employee throwing the computer monitor delivery over his gate.
Goobie55 was enraged and subsequently posted the clip on YouTube under the heading, ‘The FedEx Guy Throwing My
Computer Monitor’. Just 21 seconds long, it has become an instant hit.
‘Goobie55’ explained underneath the video he was actually at home when the monitor was delivered:
“Here is a video of my monitor being ‘delivered’. The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate. Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken.”
The video’s popularity reflected anger at feckless delivery drivers the world over.
One user commented:
“NICE customer service…did the package have to be delivered by 10:AM….? Must have been 9:59AM….JUST IN TIME!”
Making reference to Actor Jim Carey’s antics in the film, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, another user said, “he wasn’t a pet detective by chance?”
