What is it? Well, it is a festival here in London featuring some of the very finest, funniest and fantastic theatre and TV comedians from South Africa all under one roof. The country’s flagship comedy festival this year will be headlined by South Africa’s number one comedian and hero to the masses Marc Lottering, presenter of the SA Strictly Come Dancing and writer and performer of no fewer than 15 hit solo shows.
“For some reason I appear to be going through ha very good hair phase,” Lottering has said of both his current follicular predicament and reason for coming over to these little islands to spread the love. “It would be a shame not to share this with as many people as possible.” We agree.
Joining him for this three-night jamboree of comedic delight will be South African up and comers and established acts including Alan Committee, Nik Rabinowitz, Carl Wastie, Siv Ngesi and Tumi Morake.
