The 50-year-old, who played for Australian team Parramatta and South Africa’s Balmain, was holidaying in Los Angeles with his family when he was hit by a car while crossing the road. He received the heaviest injuries in the collision, and died later in hospital, and his daughter was left with minor injuries.
