Best known as the frontman of alt-rock kings Dinosaur Jr, J Mascis is also an esteemed solo musician ad is taking to the road again in this guise to show off tracks from his latest release, last August’s Tied To The Stars (released on famed label Sub Pop).
But when you are known as one of the originators of alt-rock and grunge, and are famed for your fearsome, screeching guitar licks (as well as surprisingly a small role in Richard Aoyade’s movie The Double), then it is not going to be far much of a surprise if one or two of your back catalogue classics – from former and/ or other bands – kreep into the set too. So you can pretty much count on their being one or two Dinosaur Jr classics this evening as well.
