Tunisia is at high risk and the Foreign Office are advising people not to travel to south and west of the country.

France is also at high risk after the attacks in Paris, as well as Brussels, which has recently been on shutdown.

European favourite Spain has also had its threat level heightened by the British Government.

A number of countries along the Mediterranean, regularly visited by backpackers have been declared as dangerous zones.

While we’re not suggesting that you don’t go to these countries, we are suggesting that you do so at your own risk and with prior knowledge of the situation. Keep up with up to date information provided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
