Winter sun favourite Egypt is among the number of danger zones, with all UK direct flights to Sharm el-Sheikh suspended until into the New Year.
Tunisia is at high risk and the Foreign Office are advising people not to travel to south and west of the country.
France is also at high risk after the attacks in Paris, as well as Brussels, which has recently been on shutdown.
European favourite Spain has also had its threat level heightened by the British Government.
A number of countries along the Mediterranean, regularly visited by backpackers have been declared as dangerous zones.
