Hey girls, Hugh Hefner is back on the market – after his latest fiance, British model Crystal Harris, decided she couldn’t marry him.
The Playboy owner, 85, was set to tie the knot on Saturday – making Crystal, 25, his third wife in a decades long career as a champion of sexual liberation..
Unfortunately, the couple fell out just days before she was due to walk down the aisle.
Crystal, the daughter of a West Midlands publican, apparently had had an angry phone row with octogernarian Hef at the weekend.
The couple had been engaged for almost a year.
Crystal, who also has a singing career, had insisted she was not interested in Hefner’s £27million fortune, saying their relationship was all about love.
“I’m no gold digger – I love him!” she added. “I would willingly sign a pre-nuptial agreement.
“Hugh doesn’t throw money at me at all and I don’t ask. I get paid for my music work and modelling.”
Revealing how Hefner proposed, she said: “He wound up a music box and gave it to me.
“I opened it and there was the Little Mermaid twirling around and a diamond ring in there.
“I tried it on, but it was too big – three-and-a-half carats, with diamonds all round the band.”
Crystal, a one-time psychology student, grew up in Ye Olde Rose & Crown, a goal kick from West Bromwich Albion football ground.
Her family moved to the US when she was a schoolgirl and finally settled in San Diego.
