The ladies will no doubt be upset to see the end of his thick black hair, but it’s all in the aid of art – specifically a role as Blackbeard in a new Peter Pan reboot titled Pan.
He actor best known for his role as Wolverine revealed his new look on Instagram and accompanied the photo with the caption ‘Blackbeard is born’.
His co-stars in the film include Amanda Seyfried, Rooney Mara and Garret Hedlund as a young Captain Hook.
Pan will hit cinemas in 2015.
