Sasha Hawley, the founder of Yoga by the Sea, hosted a class from inside a fish tank at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium on Thursday.
Submerged in almost two million litres of water, Hawley performed a range of yoga postures surrounded by marine life that included leopard sharks, black tip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, smalltooth sawfish and schools of coloured fish.
“It is amazing to be able to get so close to a variety of majestic and calming marine life,” she said.
A group of yoga lovers followed the class but were performing their practice on dry land, outside the fish tank.
The unique class is being offered every Tuesday at the aquarium. Classes starts at 7am and cost $30, including a breakfast to go.
