Jessie J’s song Price Tag featuring American rapper B.o.B has shot straight to No.1 in the UK Top 40 singles chart.
This is Jessie J’s first chart topping single with hit her debut hit Do It Like A Dude only making it to a No.2 spot on the list at the end of January.
The new chart entry means that Jessie J has got two songs in UK Top 40 at the moment, with Do It Like A Dude now at number seven, after 11 weeks in the charts.
The song Price Tag features American singer and producer Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. aka B.o.B., who previously has had chart toppers with Nothin’ On You (with Bruno Mars) and Airplanes featuring Hayley Williams.
Jessie J’s debut album Who You Are, including both hit singles, is set to be released at the end of March.
Speaking to BBC about her plans for 2011, the winner of the Critics Choice Brit Award said she would spend the summer touring and playing festivals.
“I know I’ve been booked for Glastonbury and The Big Chill.”
“I’d love to do V festival just because it’s in Essex,” the Redbridge-born artist continued.
“I went last year, set up my tent and then decided not to stay! Our tent just stayed over night and then we went back the next day.”
