Overview It’s a boutique hotel about five minutes’ drive from the town centre and was one of the first luxury accommodation options built here.
The hotel sits on top of Phou Vao hill, which translates to the ‘hill of kites’, and you can see the temple on Mount Phousi in the distance.
It’s pricey, especially for the area, but you definitely get your money’s worth.
Wow factor The infinity pool is reason enough to come here.
The water looks as though it’s just about to spill down the hill, and by night it’s covered in floating candles – a real sight when you’re sitting around it on a balmy evening, putting away a beer or two.
Rooms Huge, airy rooms are decorated with polished wooden furniture and lots of traditional Laotian touches.
All suites have huge windows which look out onto the mountain, the pool or the lush gardens.
Bill please Doubles from £312pp, suites from £374pn.
