Australian labourers and tradesmen heading back Down Under should
consider making Western Australia their first port of call, as the
demand for cooks, cleaners and labourers in the state’s resources
industry is high.

Tens of thousands of semi-skilled tradies can expect to find work in
WA over the next decade, according to an independent study published in
The Australian.

The mining boom in WA has attracted thousands of migrants in recent
years, and the state expects to account for 55 per cent of Australia’s
growth in demand for labour between now and 2020, with several
multibillion-dollar projects requiring an extra 70,000 workers.
