Lady Gaga’s Judas video has landed and, surprise, surprise, she’s stirred up a hornet’s nest of controversy once again.
The video for Gaga’s Judas has been slammed as “blasphemous” with its depiction of the singer as Mary Magdalene and Jesus’s disciples as Hells Angels.
Gaga is seen riding a motorcycle alongside Judas, played by The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus as they burn their way through a rock’n’roll Jerusalem.
Speaking to MSN last week, Gaga explained that the Judas video is “a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem.”

Despite its religious overtones, Gaga claims that Judas is a metaphor for life and not a comment on Christianity.
Gaga said that she aims to show that “forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand.”
“The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny,” she continued.

However some religious leaders have slammed Gaga’s latest offering.
Bill Donahue, president of The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights says she is exploiting religion in her quest for fame.
“She is trying to rip off Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances,” he said.
“Is this the only way to jet up her performance?”
Gaga is unrepentant and declared: “The Judas Video is a masterpiece!”
Reactions on Youtube are mixed.
“People say they hate this song, but they don’t even know the real meaning of it. It’s not really about Jesus and Judas, its a metaphor for always loving the wrong guy, when your really true love that is good for you is right in front of you,” said abbeyray16.
However 20pack2008 isn’t happy, writing: “Gaga doesn’t have any more talent .. this song is very awful. A horrible mix up of Bad Romance. She needs to take a backseat, we get it, she’s crazy. This shows NO creativity.”
And YuriRPG screamed: “Okay I’m Christian and gay, but this video is awfully wrong from so many points of views that I cannot even explain! Is just wrong!!!!!!!!!! SCREW!”
