The last major cricket final of the county season will see Warwickshire take on Surrey on Saturday 17 September 2016.
As well as taking in a match at the iconic sports venue, you’ll be able to take part in a range of activities, from batting competitions and free taster sessions with MCC coaches. There may also be the chance to see some of the stars of the England men’s and women’s teams as they take to the field to coach two young teams in the final of the Gilbert cup.
Gordon Hollins, of the England and Wales cricket board said: “The Royal London one day cup final is a milestone in the sporting calendar and provides county cricket supporters with the opportunity to watch their team at Lord’s. The atmosphere is always very special and this year some of the game’s most exciting players will be on show as well as lots to see and do off the field. It will be quite an occasion.”
Eighteen teams have been on the Road to Lord’s since June battling for a place in the final. And this year sees two of the competition’s nearly men go head to head. Whilst Warwickshire will still be licking their wounds from a nail biting three wicket defeat to Durham back in 2014, Surrey will be looking to lift the prestigious trophy after a six run loss at the hands of Gloucestershire last year.
The 2016 Royal London one day cup final takes place at Lord’s on Saturday 17 September.
Tickets are priced from £30 for adults and just £5 for under-16s and are available online www.lords.org/final
