If you’re looking for an adventure or a new opportunity to start a career in tourism and hospitality, working a season for Inghams, Espirit and Total, part of the Hotelplan group, sounds like a great opportunity to develop a variety of skills, meet like-minded people, learn a local language and improve skiing or snowboarding abilities.
Seasons take place from November to April and are available in Austria, Andorra, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Lapland, Italy and Canada. Working a season means every day is different and there are a variety of roles for candidates with different skills and levels of experience to choose from. They have an array of vacancies available from bar person and chambermaid to our personal favourite, an elf in Lapland.
As an elf you will assist Santa to ensure each families visit to Lapland is a special and magical one (probably best that you love kids for this role). As a character it’s a requirement to act as an elf at all times. We would imagine that late night bar brawls are not permitted. You will spend a fair amount of time outdoors as well as in Santa’s cabin, meet and greet the guests at the airport and ensure all of the presents are wrapped ready (admittedly that bit does sound like fun) for delivery. A comprehensive and constant commitment to the Santa story is essential and only committed and responsible applicants with previous experience and training in acting will be considered. Children’s dreams are at stake. Do you think you have what it takes?
They reckon that the pay and packages are pretty good. For more information and to apply to work a season visit www.workaseason.com email recruitment@workaseason.com or call 01483 791 010.
