Held at the Islington Business Design Centre over March 9-10, 2013, the two-day extravaganza is London’s biggest free travel show, with 3500 free tickets available each day when visitors pre-register (tickets cost £2 after) at tnttravelshow.com.
Scott Heffield, lead instructor at the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, will be taking to the stage on Sunday, March 10, at 10.45am.
Having worked closely with Bear Grylls for four years, Heffield will be offering expert advice on survival in extreme environments.
“People talk about deserts, jungles, mountains, oceans and extremes such as high humidity, extreme heat or cold such as the Arctic and Antarctic,” he said.
“These are undoubtedly extreme environments, and I have experienced them all. However, any environment can become super-challenging in various circumstances – high winds, flash flooding or being unprepared or simply caught out.
“Think mountain days when weather changes in seconds, ocean travel when sea states suddenly swell to enormous walls of water and flash flooding when the smallest river can become a raging torrent.”

With 12 free travel seminars on Saturday, March 9, and eight on Sunday, March 10, there’s something to suit every type of traveler.
