Formerly ‘Fish & Chip Shop’, Vintage Salt now accommodates a weekly Supper Club engineered by executive chef Lee Bull cooking dishes influenced by his time at Scott’s, J Sheekey and The Ivy.
The three course Supper Club menu changes weekly. When we visited dishes included roasted cod with razor clam thermidor and seared salmon decorated with fish roe on top tea smoked salmon ‘hummus’ which was finished with a quail’s egg. To finish – cherry mess, a cherry twist on the classic Eton Mess!
The casual but lively atmosphere made the Supper Club ideal for a good value (£38-ish per person for three courses with a glass of wine), after work jaunt to break up the week.
Lee Bull’s Supper Club will be available from 5pm until 11pm every Wednesday at Vintage Salt Upper Street. Lee will be joined throughout the summer by guest chefs also cooking a menu of their signature dishes alongside the regular Vintage Salt menu.
