It took almost 15 hours for the lock to get the news that his alleged stamping incident in the first Test, after which he was allowed to play in Saturday’s 16-15 win in Melbourne.
The immense leader admitted at training that he’d lost sleep over the hearing.
“I thought the process was fair and thorough,” Horwill said. “I wouldn’t like to see another player go through that but it was fair and thorough and that’s the way it was.
“As I said on Saturday, I love what I do and it means a hell of a lot to represent my country and not only to represent but the opportunity to lead in what is probably the biggest game in this country since the 2003 World Cup final. So I’m very excited and now we can focus on the game and that’s what is important.”
