The singer, who died in a car accident in 2002, will be brought back to the stage to perform alongside her TLC band mates Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas.
It’s been exactly ten years since Left Eye’s death and the US gossip website TMZ has reported that representatives for the R&B band, whose outspoken views on safe sex and feminism made them massive worldwide stars, are planning a 2012 ‘reunion’ tour.
“The image is not a hologram,” a rep for TLC told E! News “The girls have done shows before with footage of old performances showing Lisa performing with them on a screen as they perform.”
Lopes led a controversial life – in 1994 she set fire to her boyfriend Andre Rison’s shoes in a bathtub following a disagreement on a night out. The fire spread throughout the mansion the couple shared and destroyed the entire building.
