Art depicting the 7/7 London bomb attacks is set to divide opinion.

Former graffiti vandal Mark Sinckler is responsible for the black and white image which shows the wreckage of the 7/7 double-decker, with renaissance-style angels flying out of it.

The bus exploded in Tavistock Square, after it was targeted along with three Tube stations by fundamentalist Islamic suicide bombers on July 7, 2005 – known as 7/7.

Sinckler’s creation will be displayed in the window of a new gallery created by legandary street artist Banksy.

“People enjoy shopping more than they enjoy art,” Banksy, speaking about the  Marks & Stencils gallery in Soho, said.

“So it makes sense to try and disguise your gallery as a home furnishings store.”

Banksy painting ruined

Meanwhile, Southhampton’s Joe Sidhu has lost out on £20,000 after a Banksy was sprayed on his garden wall and a jealous local painted over it.

The property developer, 50, was told by experts the art would increase his home’s value from £150,000 to £170,000.

But the image of a boy holding a balloon is now covered in white paint. Joe, of Southampton, told The Sun: “I’m gutted. I’ll try to save it, but I’m not hopeful.”
