TNT 30th birthday party – Koko

Your favourite weekly mag and indispensable travel bible celebrates its 30th birthday this year, and to make sure it goes off we’re throwing a very special bash this week at Camden’s Koko.

TNT Bowled Over Party

Celebrate the summer sun at TNT’s annual lawn bowls party. There will be a bowls tournament from 1pm, Bodean’s BBQ from 2pm-4pm, plus top-class entertainment and DJs to keep you partying until the small hours. Cider Dog Festival

Relaunched pub The Miller is holding this real ale, cider and perry festhosting more than 50 tipples for you to sample, including all of London’s micro-breweries such as Kernel, Partizan and Sambrook. For eats, the Street Kitchen fellas – who are in residency here – will be serving up their ace dogs ‘n’ slaw, too.

Zidane and Mogwai – live

What do Glaswegian instrumentalists Mogwai and firebrand yet supremely talented retired footballer Zinedine Zidane have in common? They’re both at the Barbican tonight, sort of, as the former play a live score to the footy art installation and movie,  Zidane, A 21st Century Portrait about the head-butt-loving Frenchman.

A-Z of Backpacking Fringe preview

Seasoned traveller Jody Kamali distills his eight years of solo backpacking around the world into this indispensable and hilarious guide to what to do and not to do when out on the road.

Meditating in caves and getting high on Guatemalan chocolate with a shaman feature alongside hostel etiquette advice. This is Jody’s seventh Fringe show – the avid traveller is also a member of circus cabaret troupe Le Flop.

We Love The 90s Film Festival
