In a clear example that the ongoing riots in London are premeditated, a leaflet is being distributed advising looters how to evade police capture.

In the A4-sized pamphlet, titled “Don’t Talk, Don’t Panic’, the writer urges looters and rioters not to hand themselves in.

“The police often use psychological pressure of knowing they have your picture to persuade you to ‘come forward’ when they don’t know who you are or have evidence against you,” it reads.

The advice sheet tells people to get rid of the clothes they wore when carrying out criminal acts.

“There is no chance of suggesting the person in the video is not you if the clothes they are wearing are found in your wardrobe.”

It also suggests rioters change their appearnce by going as far as getting “a makeover”.

“Get a haircut and colour, grow a beard, wear glasses,” the pamphlet urges.

Criminals are also encouraged only to talk to those they trust implicitly and not to panic when they hear a knock at the door.
