Lost Records positions itself firmly at the forefront of the future of dance music, with founders Leftwing and Kody aiming not to recycle old sounds, but branch out into the new and unknown.

Since forming in 2012, Leftwing and Kody have carved out a niche as two of the UK’s finest exports, who now present a monthly Rinse FM show, as well as releasing on super-hot labels such as Hot Creations, VIVa, Knee Deep In Sound, Suara, MadTech, as well as their own renowned imprint.

Hugely in demand as DJs and with a Solid Grooves residency in Ibiza following on from last year’s Magna Carta residency at Sankeys, Leftwing and Kody, aka Jon Kong and Chris Adie, have made it look easy. But it’s their determination and diligence that’s helped them prosper so rapidly in such a short time. A debut release on Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings instantly placed them in the limelight, soon followed by appearances on Alive Recordings and Exploited, before a mammoth release on Anjunadeep a year later. Support from the upper echelons of house and techno quickly followed, with Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, James Zabiela, Maya Jane Coles, Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Adam Beyer, Nic Fanciulli and Huxley continually advocating their productions. They launched Lost Records with a lauded release from Darius Syrossian, and now, with regular label showcases and a Beatport discography spanning thirty releases, Lost Records boasts a roster including wAFF, Josh Butler, Detlef and Wade.

Showcasing the finest underground house and techno from established and breakthrough artists, Leftwing and Kody welcome Toronto’s after-hours kingNathan Barato, who’s skyrocketed to international prominence as a well-respected and sought after name.

Smashing international stages across the globe, including some massive shows in Ibiza this summer, Nathan has carved out a reputation as not only one of the most playable producers in dance music, but amongst its most prolific DJs as well with Marco Carola first rinsing Nathan’s 2012 hit ‘Hard Werq’ before asking him to join the Music On roster. Jamie Jones deemed Nathan a new star at the Hot Creations camp, making the ‘Wobble Talk’ EP a mainstay in his sets. His eclectic sound infuses many styles, the likes of 90’s garage getting sampled against the backdrop of funky techno resulting in Nathan’s music being released on some of the most prestigious imprints in the industry, including Hot Creations and spinoff Hottrax, as well as Rekids, Cajual, Saved Records, Mood and his very own Roots and Wings label.

Completing the line-up is PAWSA, the hot London-based producer who kickstarted his remarkable rise with a bonafide EP on Lost Records in 2014. The appropriately named ‘Pilot’ put a marker down both on Beatport and in the dance community and, picking up steam, PAWSA’s received the firm backing of industry stalwarts Green Velvet and Nicole Moudaber, who have both locked down EPs from the innovative producer on Relief and Mood Records respectively. In 2015, PAWSA co-founded Solid Grooves Records alongside Michael Bibi with the underlying motif of “let the music do the talking”. This label has provided a firm base for PAWSA’s latest EP ‘Stage Two’. The sister company to the much vaunted Solid Grooves club night, which has regular happenings in London, Ibiza and Berlin, the label has been an important string to the bow of PAWSA.

PAWSA’s signature sound – inventive tech house with an old school vibe – is decisively made for the dance floor and as a DJ he lays down carefully curated and atmospheric sets. Alongside all of this, PAWSA also has his own magical and much loved ‘PAWSA’s Mixtape Series’ and some top weekly tips for producers and DJs alike via his ‘Groover Essentials’ series. PAWSA is one DJ who is letting quality records do all the talking and few come close to the consistency and indisputable calibre of his productions.
