But while we are familiar with luxury label bedding and lingerie brands, is there room in the bed for another designer.

That’s an affirmative, according to the artist Irakli Kiziria, who designed the Louis Vuitton condom.

The high-end condom comes in a packet with the label’s iconic design: brown with gold lettering, and the condom itself has raised ‘LV’ lettering, for enhanced pleasure, we can only assume.

As you would expect of anything with a prolific label attached, it comes with a pricey tag – much like the Louis Vuitton handbag.

A top end Johnny like this costs US$68. That’s  just for one.

To put the price in perspective, $68 could buy you about six 12-packs of regular condoms.

But don’t all storm down the shop floor of your local Louis Vuitton, because the condoms cannot be bought in stores.

Kiziria, from Georgia, only drafted the condom in collaboration with Design Provocation as a design-project. The team hope to launch the product on World AIDS Day and donate the proceeds to amfAR, The Foundation For AIDS Research.

In fact, Louis Vuitton has very little to do with the condom at all.

Ah, we knew we could spot a fake…
