The Louw bothers will reunite in the Griffons front row when they face the Boland Cavaliers in a promotion relegation match in Wellington on Friday afternoon.

Jaco Louw joins his elder brother and current captain Sarel and will pack down at tighthead prop to replace Gert Greyling.

Louw’s inclusion is one of three changes to the starting XV that won the First Division against the Leopards last Friday evening.

Ace flyhalf Kennedy Tsimba has been ruled out with a groin injury in a major setback and the Sevens Springbok Jandré Blom will wear the flyhalf shirt.

Tsimba’s natural successor, Jacques-Louis Potgieter has a broken hand and isn’t available, forcing the Griffons to experiment with Blom, who made an appearance at fullback for the Cheetahs from the bench last weekend.

The third change is on the side of the scrum where local boy Shaun Botha gets a start after Albert Parson’s dislocated shoulder. Another former Griffons, flanker Nicky Steyn, has been called up to the bench.

The Griffons will travel to Boland with a 5-2 forward split on their bench.
