Police have launched a murder inquiry after the body of a man was discovered in Berkshire.
The body was found in London Road, Sunningdale and follows a possible kidnap or robbery attempt involving several men in a white van.
Several witnesses reported having seen police chasing the van shortly before 2pm.
A local businessman who witnessed the incident told The Sun he suspected an armed robbery had been stopped by police.
“We did not hear any shots and we do not know how the man came to be there.”
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “Following the discovery of body on London Road in Sunningdale this afternoon, police have launched a murder inquiry.
“A number of people have been arrested. The road is currently closed and will be for the foreseeable future.”
