Queensland resident Christopher William Lord, 23, had persuaded the unnamed victim to get a tattoo in October 2010, and the unsure recipient of the dodgy ink eventually relented – choosing a yin and yang design.

However, Lord then told the tattooist, Matthew Francis Brady, 24, to alter the design so it featured a penis, testicles, and a rude phrase.

On the morning of the ill-fated event, all three men had been drinking rum at Brady’s home. The victim was then taken into a bedroom to have his tattoo done, during which Lord lied to him that the artwork looked ‘mad’.

Brady was jailed in 2011 for his part in the assault.

The victim, who is on disability benefits, has since had his tattoo altered for free by a local tattoo artist who offered to help out.
