A Rotorua man is seriously ill in Waikato Hospital’s high dependency unit after suffering electric shock from a 110,000 volt power line he was working on, on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Westpac Trust Waikato Air Ambulance said it was called to the scene at Putaruru, 23km north west of Tokoroa, about 2pm.
The 55-year-old suffered burns to 30 per cent of his body and was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
