Another week, another Britain's Got Talent judge gone – although the latest one to leave the popular show did so voluntarily.
Michael Mcintyre, widely regarded as one of the biggest stand-up comedians in the UK, decided the time was right for him to leave the popular television show and return to the stage.
His resignation comes just a week after David Hasselhoff was axed from the popular family show.
Mcintyre said: "I absolutely loved being a judge but have been itching to get back on stage myself. I wish the show and production team every success".
He is said reportedly planning a 100-gig UK tour next summer.
Despite the departure of her co-judges, preganant Amanda Holden is expected to front the new series of the show and speculation as to the possible television return of Cheryl Cole is hotting up – a possibility given weight by Ant and Dec speaking publically about her possible recruitment.
Little Britain star David Walliams is being tipped as the early frontrunner to replace Hasselhoff.
