Poor little Mitchell Johnson.

First, his mum jumped in about his “bitchy, son-stealing” girlfriend just before the Ashes, unsettling the fast bowler and contributing to Australia’s downfall in a series they should have won.

Now he’s had a major tanty on the field when being walloped for back-to-back fours by Black Caps hero Scott Styris in the 46th over of the first Chapell-Hadlee match for 2010.

Following Styris’ first four, Johnson had a few choice words to say and appeared to be questioning the Kiwi hero’s sanity but after the second boundary the banana bender flipped right out and tried to headbutt Styris who was wearing a helmet!

Aussie keeper Brad Haddin jumped in but the damage had been done – Johnson was fined 60 per cent of his match fee for the outburst.

Johnson talked it up before the series started saying he was glad not to be facing the Aussie attack, but when his words were proved wrong he could do nothing but act like a little boy who had had his bum smacked.

New Zealand went on to win by two wickets after chasing down 276, happy in the knowledge that they now know how to frustrate mummy’s boy Mitchell.

Bring on game two!
