What baffles me about London is that after all of these years, I still don’t have a clue which way north is.
London’s best-kept secret is the New Empowering Church [in east London]. It’s a great live music venue near London Fields that has a great vibe, great parties and wicked music.
When I want to chill out I head to my nearest park which is Hackney Downs. Usually, there aren’t that many people about, so it means I can get a little dose of green.
The most interesting person I’ve met is actor Michael Madsen. I just loved listening to Mr Blonde tell Marlon Brandon tales.
My favourite place for a drink is Biddle Bros [in Lower Clapton]. It’s my local pub.
For when you’re hungover in London you can’t beat the English fry-up for breakfast. I can only eat that when I’ve had too much to drink the night before – I find it amazing how people can put all the wrong things inside their bodies first thing in the morning.
What gets me up in the morning is either my alarm clock, my neighbour’s baby or my bladder.
The first thing I think of in the morning is what my last dream was about.
My perfect weekend would be a weekend off!
The biggest faux pas I have made was getting caught trying to bunk the really long queue on a Sunday morning at the National Gallery. It was an angry mob, too.
The last naughty thing I did was watch a whole season of Dexter instead of having a day of work at the studio.
Five words that sum up London … Epic, infinite, historical, multicultural and home.
