Taking place on Saturday 13th June, the festival will take over museums, shops, cafes and bars in and around the creative hub of Hoxton with a series of master classes held by talented older people all 70 years and over.
From preserve making to dress-making and home brewing to woodwork workshops, GrandFest offers the opportunity to learn a new skill or brush up on an existing one.
A full list of master classes available can be found on the website: www.grandfest.royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
The heart of GrandFest is Hoxton Square, which will play host to range of food and drink stands, a pop up shop and the GrandFest stage, where performers will entertain festival goers. Beyond Hoxton Square the festival will unfold across the whole of Old Street at venues including the Geffrye Museum and Hoxton Trust.
For those looking to impress friends with some homemade chutney or some tasty craft beer then GrandFest will be a welcome addition to the London summer calendar.
