The branch in Oak Wood surprised regulars with a sign stating: “No shirts, No shoes, No service.”
Customers claimed that it conflicts recent McDonald’s adverts which show bikini and bermuda short wearing surfers buying big macs.
On behalf of McDonald’s a spokesperson told 9news “Our Oak Park restaurant had a number of customers coming in wet from the nearby pool which posed a slip hazard.
“The sign has now been removed and we are looking into alternate safety measures.”
