According to the study, which was commissioned by Sunshine.co.uk, Ibiza, Rhodes and Majorca are the top three holiday destinations for Britons following a breakup.
When asked why they had wanted to book a break, most people admitted that it was to take their mind off their heartache.
Other reasons the newly-single jetted off included to find another potential love interest (read: shag), their friends convinced them to take a break and it just so happened that they were long over due a holiday.
And where are the top five ‘holiday heartbreak destinations’? Ibiza, Rhodes, Majorca, Cyprus and Spain. So, if you’ve just been dumped, better get booking that flight – you’ll be in good company…
