Paris in 2-3 days
Day 1
Start at the top of Arc de Triomphe where you can see the morning traffic battle it out and check out the museum.
Make your way down the Champs-Élysées, stopping off for some window shopping. If the shops don’t suck you in keep heading straight and you’ll run into The Louvre. Book ahead at The Louvre and you can waltz in without having to line up for hours. If you’re not a major art buff, a quick look around will still take you 2-3 hours.
Enjoy a late lunch on the banks of The Seine before meandering along the river to the Notre Dame Cathedral. After a full day’s sight-seeing head to the Latin Quarter where you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants.
Day 2
Jump on the metro to Montmartre and start your day at the Sacré-Coeur Basilica. It’s the highest point in Paris and offers a great perspective of the city.
The surrounding streets and alleys manage to provide the feeling that you’re not actually in the thriving metropolis which is Paris. Grab something to eat on the run and enjoy it on the steps which pave the way to the Sacré-Coeur Basilica.
Make your way back to Musée d’Orsay which is on the left bank of The Seine where you can admire the works by Monet and Renoir. Then, grab a bottle of wine (plastic cups are fine), take a stroll along The Seine and take in The Eiffel Tower on sunset.
