The powerful, makeshift device, consisting of a large plastic pipe and a metal tank using compressed air from an old car engine, was able to launch packages of the drug weighing over the border to America.
The apparatus fired cylinders packed with marijuana that weighed as much as 13 kilos, police said.
It was discovered and confiscated last week after US officers told Mexican police that they had been confiscating a large number of drug packages that appeared to have been fired over the border.
